Job purpose

• Blueberry upick cashiers are responsible for:
  • accurate daily sales record
  • great customer service
  • being a team member

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide administration with accurate daily cash and sales reports
• Treat customers and team members in a courteous, professional, friendly manner
• Maintain the cashier equipment, and stock inventory
• Consider the safety of customers at all times
• Change the information phone message daily
• Maintain/clean the washrooms and Front Porch, as necessary
• Be part of the u-pick team, helping structure the upick season

Qualifications

• Cashier experience is definitely an asset
• Have a courteous and friendly disposition
• Is a team participant

Working conditions

• Working under cover, however, outside each day
• Ability to work six days of the week; typically Mondays off

Physical requirements

• Stand at the cash register all day, on uneven footing
• Physical ability to carry 10 – 20 lbs
• Deal with all manner of customers, from nice to very challenging, while putting on a happy face!

Direct reports

• If only cashier, does not have any direct reports, they are required to be a team member
• If lead cashier, the second cashier or helper
