Job purpose

• Blueberry upick supervisors are responsible for:
  • getting the u-pick blueberry fields harvested in the proper method
  • good customer service
  • being a team member

Duties and responsibilities

• Ensure bushes are picked completely, in the proper method, considering customer placement at all times
• Treat customers in a courteous, professional, friendly manner
• Consider the safety of customers at all times
• Be part of the u-pick team, helping structure the upick season

Qualifications

• Blueberry upick supervisory experience is the #1 asset
• Physical ability to lift 10 – 20 lbs and walk through the blueberry fields all day
• Able to work outdoors, in summer and fall weather conditions
• Is a team participant
• Have a courteous and friendly disposition

Working conditions

• Supervisors work only outdoors, with no shade, in hot, humid, cold or rain; walking up and down hills
• Ability to work any six days of the week
• Dealing with all manner of customers, from nice to very challenging, while putting on a happy face!

Physical requirements

• This position is the most demanding within the team:
  • walking fields continually in all types of summer/fall weather
  • dealing with all manners of customers

• If the only supervisor, does not have any direct reports; they are required to be a team member
• If lead supervisor, all other supervisors
